Admission Process-2

Lakhs of students appear for MBA entrance examinations every year. CAT (common admission test) is considered as the toughest and most prestigious of all MBA entrance exams. Many renowned management colleges select candidates based on CAT scores. However only two to three percent students manage to get through the best of the lot, six IIMs (Indian Institute of Management). IIMs are the benchmark of management education and excellence in the country.

Apart from the CAT, there are various other all India competitive exams like XAT, MAT, SNAP and NMAT etc. XAT is conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur. XAT is also believed to be one of the difficult entrance tests to enter into the management world. SNAP is organized by Symbiosis, Pune and NMAT is conducted by Narsee Monjee, Mumbai.

Due to this fierce competition, more and more B-schools and management institutes are coming up in India which offers excellent management education to the huge number of aspirants. According to a rough estimate, more than thousand institutes are spread all over the country. Almost all of them provide full time residential MBAs. With the increasing requirements of the corporate world for top class managers, the institutes offering management studies has also gone up in the last few years.
